June

June

Ronan tried finger painting and apparently lip painting or something.

We visited Lake Eola while we were near downtown Orlando. The boys liked the swans.

Ronan as a soldier.

Or a pirate...

The box that the new bassinet came in makes a good toboggan or coffin.

I made a mini sock monster for the boys to share. Liam kind of laid claim to it though... He named him Kandy Kaney (because of his stripped limbs)

By the way, this is my 36 week belly.

Catching up... May 2012

May

We took a trip to see my family in Colorado before I got too far along in my pregnancy. Chris and Jocelyn were going to be moving to Hawaii for a whole year and were flying out in a week or two so we made sure to catch them there too. Ronan's favorite past time was holding "Waffles" their new kitten, he tried to hold it the whole time we were there.

Josh fashioned some new sparring swords from PVC pipes, pipe insulators and duct tape. It was tons of fun! They even made some mini ones for the boys to use. I recommend turning the volume down on the video, the wind in the microphone is very obnoxious.

Later Kiersten and Mckenna made an awesome obstacle course from various things in the yard like the playhouse ladder/slide/swings, trampoline, Little Tikes slide, and the lower concrete wall. Almost everyone tried it out, even my Mom and I (yes, while I was 29 weeks pregnant!) tried it once. It was the funniest thing to watch everyone (teenagers, grown men, young girls) jump through hoops to try to get the quickest time. It was a fun visit, we were so glad that we took the time to go.

I just think these pictures are sweet. My boys came to cuddle me while I was trying to nap.

More catching up... April 2012

April

Owen and Ronan immediately cashing in on their easter egg hunt.

Nathan and I planned a getaway since it was likely to be our last chance for probably a year or more. So we helped pay for Grandma Shirley's ticket so she could watch the boys for us. We celebrated Owens third birthday a few days early then left on our "babymoon".

We went to Saint Augustine for three days. I picked it for the history and museums. We stayed at a nice little bed and breakfast. The breakfasts were very good. The days were not too hot yet so it was a nice time to go. It also had a pretty nice beach, though it was a bit windy the day we went.

Castillo de San Marcos

I just liked this car...

When we got back from Saint Augustine we all went to Downtown Disney
before taking Grandma to the airport.

Then we celebrated Nathan's birthday a week later.

Catching up... Jan-Mar 2012

January

We were able to get free passes to Disney World through a coworker's boyfriend. We had a great time, but man, it was exhausting!

Roe with his Daddy waiting in line at the haunted mansion.
Liam thought he liked scary things, but said this was too scary.

The barrel bridge was a big hit. It was really bouncy. I was climbing up hill the entire time when Nate was behind me. We went over it at least four times!

The boys each got a set amount of money to spend at the gift shops. Liam and Owen picked pirate swords, daggers, and eye patches. Ronan picked a pair of stuffed monkeys. Everyone came home tired but happy.

February

What can I say, Ronan really likes shoes, it doesn't matter what kind.

The boys really liked Moss Park. It had a nice big playground and a lake with a swimming area. I even made a life size (maybe a little smaller) Mermaid in the sand. Yes, I know, she has a fantastic bottom.

Ronan crashed after all the fun.

March

Not much to say. Just a bunch of cute boys.

More catching up... Oct-Dec 2011

 October

We took the boys to an italian bistro.

I made Ninja Turtle shells from cardboard for the boys' costumes (Nathan was the fourth turtle).

Then I made weapons from cardboard...

The four of them were a big hit at the ward Halloween party (I was April O'Neil). Liam and I changed costumes to go trick o' treating. He wanted to be Jack Skellington from The Nightmare Before Christmas (The painted ribcage T-shirt was the best I could do). I was simply a black cat.

November

Around Halloween I had made a soft skeleton at Liam's request.
It became his favorite toy for several months.

I made cupcakes for my birthday (I didn't want icing, don't judge me!). I also found out I was pregnant!

I experimented with making homemade tortillas. Though not perfect, we all loved them.

Occasionally, the boys still used their turtle shells.

December

The boys wanted to help me make pizza dough.

We flew to Massachusetts to be with Grandma and Grandpa Shirley for Christmas. The boys had fun with there only cousin, Katelyn.

Owen helped Ronan figure out what to do with his presents.

The boys were a little disappointed that there was no snow while we were there.
Liam also had a bike waiting for him at home in Florida so he could ride to the preschool with me. The preschool let us leave his bike in the lobby area while he was in class so I wouldn't have to haul it around. When we got home it turned out the bike was a little small so we kept it for Owen (which made Owen happy!) and got Liam a bigger one.
